LEXINGTON, Ky. - William Chafe is the Mary Alice Baldwin Professor of History Emeritus at Duke University and the author of 13 books including Civilities and Civil Rights which dealt with the Greensboro sit-ins and other aspects of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960’s and 70’s.
