Kentucky First Lady Jane Beshear joined the University of Kentucky’s Dr Mary Lynne Capilouto to introduce a new tool designed to dispense health care information to women who may not otherwise receive it.
According the National Women’s Law Center in Washington, D.C., Kentucky’s female population ranks in the bottom third of almost every women’s health indicator. The Women’s Wellness Guide, a touch-screen kiosk located UK’s Markey Cancer Center, is intended to be one step toward remedying that problem with technology.
