Saving Stories: Civil Rights Pioneer Vernon Jordan In His Own Words
This week another name synonymous with the Civil Rights Movement passed away. Former National Urban League President and Clinton Administration advisor Vernon Jordan died at his home in Georgia at the age of 85. In this special edition of WUKY's award winning history program Saving Stories, Dr. Doug Boyd with the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History in the UK Libraries presents audio from a collection of interviews Robert Penn Warren conducted in 1964 on the unfolding Civil Rights Movement.
