This week on the WUKY SportsPage Keith Elkins talks with former Brooklyn and later Los Angeles Dodger pitcher Carl Erskine (1948-1959) during a great era for the organization which was commemorated in the classic book "The Boys of Summer" by Roger Kahn. Over the course of his pro career Carl pitched two no-hitters and for a time held the record for most strikeouts in a World Series game with 14. (1953 against the New York Yankees.) Carl is also the author of "What I Learned From Jackie Robinson," about his relationship with his famous teammate who became the first African-American in Major League Baseball in 1947.
