The University of Kentucky men’s basketball team extended its national record for most NCAA Tournament appearances to 61 on Sunday, as the Wildcats were selected as the No. 3 seed in the South Region. The Wildcats will play Oakland, the region’s No. 14 seed, on Thursday at 7:10 in Pittsburgh.

When Antonio Reeves decided to come back to Kentucky this season, he was expected to be the go-to scorer on a team filled with young talent. Reeves has certainly lived up to that expectation, scoring in double figures in 15 of Kentucky’s 16 games, including on Wednesday night when he posted a game-high 27 points as No. 8/10 Kentucky beat Mississippi State 90-77 inside Rupp Arena.

Tim Couch, All-America and record-setting quarterback who led the University of Kentucky football team to some of its greatest moments in school history, has been elected to the College Football Hall of Fame. The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame made the announcement Monday afternoon on ESPN. Couch will be inducted at the annual National Football Foundation Awards Dinner, to be held December 10 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kentucky closes its 2023 season on Friday, facing No. 22 Clemson in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl in Jacksonville (ESPN, Noon ET).

The Kentucky Football team is headed to 79th TaxSlayer Gator Bowl to take on No. 22-ranked Clemson on Friday, Dec. 29 in Jacksonville, Fla. The Wildcats and Tigers will tangle at noon ET at Bill Gay Grounds at EverBank Stadium. The game will be televised by ESPN.

The Wildcats (40-19) emerged as the Lexington Regional champion by winning three games in 36 hours, capping it off with a 4-2 victory over Indiana on Monday night at Kentucky Proud Park in front of a crowd of 6,796 thundering fans, the largest crowd to ever attend a UK home baseball game.

Kentucky was selected as one of the 16 nationally seeded NCAA Baseball Regional host schools, it was announced by the NCAA Selection Committee on Sunday evening. The Wildcats will open the post-season tourney Friday June 2nd at noon at Kentucky Proud Park.

Charles “Cotton” Nash, a three-time All-American men’s basketball player and a University of Kentucky Athletics Hall of Famer, died Tuesday. He was 80.

Kentucky men’s basketball freshman forward Chris Livingston has declared for the 2023 NBA Draft but will maintain his collegiate eligibility. Players can submit paperwork to receive evaluations from the NBA and participate – if invited – in the NBA Draft Combine which is slated to take place May 15-21. The deadline to return to school is May 31.
