After a triumphant return to playing roller derby last season, including our largest turnout ever for our single home game, Roller Derby of Central Kentucky (ROCK) is happy to announce our 2024 home season. ROCK will be hosting 3 games at the Central Bank Center in downtown Lexington starting this summer – on June 22, July 13, and September 7!

ROCK is Lexington, Kentucky’s only amateur flat-track roller derby team. We are a non-profit organization that fosters athletic growth and integrity in our members and gives back to the community by partnering with other local non-profit organizations. We are a member league of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), and we are inclusive in accordance with WFTDA's gender policy.

ROCK is in its 14th competitive season, having played 4 away games so far this season including Burning River Roller Derby (Cleveland, OH), Circle City Roller Derby (Indianapolis, IN), Cincinnati Rollergirls (Cincinnati, OH), and Brew City Bruisers (Milwaukee, WI). Since returning to play post-pandemic, ROCK has risen in the rankings, currently sitting at 39th out of 126 leagues in the North America Northeast region.

Our first home game of the season will be Saturday, June 22nd. Lexington’s All Stars Team (the ROCK Stars) will be taking on Black-N-Bluegrass Roller Derby (from Florence, Kentucky) at 5pm, while ROCK’s B team (the Indie ROCKers) will be competing against the Arch Rival Fleur-de-Linquents (from St. Louis, Missouri) at 7pm. Doors will open to the public at 4pm. The event is PRIDE themed, and we will be fundraising to support Camp Beacon (http://campbeacon.org/our-mission) – Kentucky’s first summer camp for LGBTQ+ youth. This will be a fun event, appropriate for all ages! Also please mark your calendars with our two additional competitive home games on July 13th & September 7th.

Adult tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Tickets for ages 7-12 will be $10 at the door, while children ages 6 and under may attend for free.
