A former public information officer with the Lexington Police Department has been charged with official misconduct after a woman accused him of stalking her. Sergeant Jervis Middleton is accused of spying on a woman he dated for more than a year.
She claims that after she broke things off with him; because she found out he was married, he stole her phone and she and her friend saw someone leaning over her roof looking in on them. She believes it was Middleton. He was initially moved to other duties within the department but is now suspeded with pay pending the outcome of the judicial process.
