Barr to be on House Financial Services Committee

FRANKFORT, Ky. - Congressman-elect Andy Barr has been assigned to the House Committee on Financial Services.
 
Barr, a Lexington Republican who defeated Democratic U.S. Rep. Ben Chandler last month to win a seat in Congress, said he's honored to receive the appointment to what he said he considers a top-tier
committee.
 
 He said he will be able to use the committee assignment to work on solving Kentucky's job crisis by pushing to lift regulations that are preventing community banks from making needed loans to individuals and small businesses
