You've seen Big Lex around town. he's the blue horse mascot VisitLex introduced in 2009, just ahead of the 2010 World Equestrian Games. He's usually featured on signs and murals. But today, he stands 12-feet tall in Gatton Park.
VisitLex CEO Mary Quinn Ramer says the new statue was designed to catch the attention of visitors near and far.
City Council Member Chuck Ellinger says he believes the statue will become a great photo op spot for locals and visitors alike.
