Fayette County Sheriff's Office activates Winter Care Program

The program was created to enhance safety and provide service to the community when road conditions make it difficult for first responders and medical personnel to reach work or for patients to get to medical appointments or pick up prescriptions.

The sheriff’s office is providing the following services:

  • Transportation to and from employment for those who are employed in the healthcare industry or professionals who provide direct healthcare services
  • Transportation to and from a critical medical appointment
  • Pick-up of critical prescription medications
  • Welfare checks for our most vulnerable citizens
  • Distribution of winter coats and blankets
  • Transportation to shelters

If you need assistance, call the Fayette County Sheriff at 859-252-1771 and ask for winter care.
