"If you haven't had a hot brown, it is delicious," said Suzy Hosley, Executive Director of Downtown Frankfort Inc. "I mean, there's turkey and bacon and cheese and bread and tomatoes. What's not to love?"
Some of the participating restaurants, like Serafini, offer the dish all year. Others only offer their version for this event.
"For instance, Andy's Artisan Bread - they do the hot brown croissant," said Hosley. "It is so good everybody throughout the year asks for it."
Other unconventional offerings include a Mexican-style hot brown from Mi Fiesta and a hot brown soup from the Kentucky Coffeetree Cafe.
This is the event's third year. Diners are invited to vote for their favorite hot brown and for the most creative hot brown. They will also be able to collect stamps in an event passport to be entered into a gift card drawing.
