Gospel singers, musicians, and dancers performed in front of a standing-room-only crowd that also heard from several pastors and government leaders like Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton and Governor Andy Beshear.
"I understand that I will never feel the weight of discrimination, of racism, of the hurt of the decades and centuries that have been in our country," Beshear said. "But I will listen, I'll try to hear and I'll try to do the right things for us to step forward together."
The crowd was estimated at close to a thousand.
