WUKY SportsPage Episode 29: Former Wildcat, ESPN Sportscaster David Sullivan

Sportscaster David Sullivan was an anchor in the early days of ESPN, when the network was establishing itself as a competitor to NBC, ABC and CBS.  He also held on-air positions in the Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Norfolk and Louisville TV markets.  Before all that, he played football at Kentucky under Charlie Bradshaw in the mid-60s, and as a teenager, he assisted his father, UK and Cincinnati Reds announcer Claude Sullivan, on Claude’s broadcasts.  From the America’s Cup and Olympics coverage to his first meeting with Louisville coach Howard Schnellenberger, he has a great collection of stories from all those experiences.
