WUKY SportsPage Episode 26: Lexington Native Doug Flynn

Lexington native Doug Flynn is familiar to baseball fans as a member of the Cincinnati Reds’ “Big Red Machine” teams of 1975 and ’76, and UK fans will remember that he came to the University in 1969 to play basketball and baseball. He went on to an 11-year major league career, and was a Gold Glove second baseman in 1980 as a member of the New York Mets. He’s done broadcasting work for the Reds, the UK and SEC networks, and is currently the host of “Kentucky Life” on Kentucky Educational Television. He is also well known for his charity work, giving his time and talents to a number of important causes in his home state and beyond.   He discusses his life and career with host Keith Elkins.
