Funeral services for former University of Kentucky Quarterback Jared Lorenzen have been set. Lorenzen played for UK from 2000 to 2003 and still holds several records at the university. He earned a Super Bowl ring while playing with the New York Giants in 2008.
Lorenzen had battled his weight for several years which led to many health problems. He died last Wednesday after being hospitalized for an infection and kidney and heart issues. A celebration of life will be held this Wednesday from 2:00-6:00 pm at St. Pious X Church in Edgewood Kentucky. A burial service will follow. Lorenzen was 38.
