Beshear declares State of Emergency ahead of 'epic' ice storm

State officials are preparing for another round of dangerous winter weather. You are being asked to stay off the roadways tomorrow and prepare emergency kits in case of power outages. WUKY’s Karyn Czar reports.

Governor Andy Beshear has declared a State of Emergency and closed all state government offices tomorrow.

Beshear is asking everyone to stay off the roads unless you are an essential worker.

As for school districts making an early call on switching to NTI or calling a snow day tomorrow the Governor said.

Fayette County Schools have announced Thursday will be an NTI day.

Transportation Secretary Jim Gray says it will be all-hands-on deck tomorrow for the 34-hundred employees in his department.
