The search continues in Laurel County, Kentucky for a suspect wanted in connection with a Saturday shooting of at least nine vehicles on a highway. Authorities have recovered an SUV and semi-automatic weapon near the scene.

Police believe the vehicle and weapon belong to the shooter, whose attack left at least five people injured Saturday along a stretch of highway near London, Kentucky — about 80 miles south of Lexington.

The shootings created a chaotic atmosphere and led police to temporarily shut down both directions of Interstate 75.

Authorities are now scouring a difficult wooded terrain for 32-year-old Joseph Couch as Laurel County police say they're being "bombarded" with calls about possible sightings.

A motive remains unclear, though police say the suspect did not fire from his car — suggesting it was not a case of road rage.
