Connie Jo Miller founded the event in 2013 as a way to support and sustain Lexington’s restaurants – and introduce them to a wider, local audience.
“So many good locally owned restaurants are a huge tourism draw,” said Miller. “People don’t want to come to Lexington and eat at an Applebee’s, you know?”
36 local restaurants will be offering multi-course meals at $25, $35, and $45 price points, “at a fraction of the typical tab,” said Miller.
“It’s everything from highfalutin and really chef-driven great restaurants like Cole’s and Epping’s and Lockbox and Dudley’s and Azur to down-home favorites like Ramsey’s, who’s serving their fabulous veggie plate with cornbread and Missy’s Pie for 2-for-$25, our lowest price-point.”
Miller said dining at local spots returns about three times as much money to Lexington’s economy as eating at national chains. A full list of all featured specials from participating restaurants is available here.
