Ann not only helped grow her family’s business, but she’s also a mom and has given back to our community in numerous ways.
Ann’s father bought Kentucky Eagle in 1948, and when Ann took over the company in 1997, she was just one of only three women wholesalers in the nation. Her legacy doesn’t end there. One of her biggest passions is the addition of Town Branch Park to Lexington.
She’s also left her mark on UK with a charitable contribution of a state-of-the-art building to the University of Kentucky Opera Theater and the WUKY Station as well.
Unfortunately, Ann was not available to record an interview for the Women of Distinction program but she did want us to spend our time highlighting “other deserving women.”
So we intend to do just that. Thursday night March 28th, from 6 to 8 pm you’re invited to join us at the WUKY Studios on Spurr Road for a reception celebrating all of our 2024 honorees featuring Ricochet Effect podcast hosts Dr. Abeni El-Amin and Renee Collins Cobb. That will be followed by a roundtable discussion led by WUKY’s own Missy Ward.
