Kentucky Selected as Host of 2023 NCAA Baseball Regional

Kentucky was selected as one of the 16 nationally seeded NCAA Baseball Regional host schools, it was announced by the NCAA Selection Committee on Sunday evening. The Wildcats will open the post-season tourney Friday June 2nd at noon at Kentucky Proud Park.

The Wildcats (36-18) are hosting after a regular season campaign that earned them a top five RPI, in part due to playing the nation’s most difficult schedule.

This will be the third time in program history it has been selected as a host and first at Kentucky Proud Park. The Cats also hosted in 2006 and 2017, advancing to the Super Regional round in coach Nick Mingione’s first season in 2017.
