Members of Kentucky's congressional delegation, along with state constitutional officers, are calling for an end to the mob rule that's overtaken Capitol Hill as supporters of President Trump occupy the Capitol building.
Not long after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell warned that a vote to overturn the will of the people would result in a "death spiral" for democracy, Trump supporters stormed the Capitol and managed to breach the building Wednesday.
Kentucky leaders have responded on Twitter. See their reactions below.
Violence and mob rule is wrong and un-American, and it will not bring about election reform.

What is happening on Capitol Hill today is despicable, and I condemn it.

We are a country founded on the rule of law. Concerns and grievances are addressed through the political process and through peaceful protests, not violence and anarchy. This must stop.
The reason we have elections is so we don't have what we see today - madness and mob rule. I pray for the safety of all members of Congress, staff and Capitol Police.

This is a developing story.
