An attorney for an anonymous grand juror in the Breonna Taylor case is seeking permission for his client to speak publicly about the controversial decision reached by the grand jury.
The unnamed member of the grand jury says the public needs to know more about the process that led to a decision not to directly charge any Louisville Metro Police officers in the death of Breonna Taylor.
"My client's concern is making sure that there is the appropriate information for the public as a whole to see what's going on, to make their own decisions on what happened," said attorney Kevin Glogower.
The anonymous juror is taking issue with the information that's been put forward by Attorney General Daniel Cameron, whose office conducted a review of the high-profile case. It led to charges of wanton endangerment against one of the officers involved.
"What was presented is not being publicly disclosed," the lawyer said, describing his client's unease with the situation.
Cameron has said he will comply with a judge's order to release grand jury recordings on Wednesday, though he has warned it could compromise an ongoing federal investigation.
