The future of Kentucky’s booming bourbon industry was the focus of a one-day conference as The James B. Beam Institute for Kentucky Spirits held its inaugural summit at the state’s flagship university.
Representatives from UK, Beam Suntory, and master distillers from across the region participated in panel discussions on everything from careers in the bourbon business, grains, fermentation, warehousing and logistics.
Brad Boswell, a fourth generation Cooper, presented a million dollar check to the university to build a barrel house next to the institute.
