Fayette County Public Schools joined 28 other districts across the state that closed because of illness.Officials announced that classes would be canceled and that “custodians will make use of the time tomorrow (Friday) to deep clean and sanitize all our schools.”
A press release from FCPS spokeswoman Lisa Deffendall said that the district had been monitoring absences ant that attendance was less than 90 percent at 19 of the district’s schools on Thursday.
