20 Year Sentence Given To Man Who Killed Versailles Boy

Lex-18

The man who killed a six-year old Versailles boy was sentenced this morning.

The former dialysis nurse from Indianapolis who entered a home in Versailles in December of 2015; attacked the Tipton family with a knife, killing six year old Logan, was sentenced to 20-years in prison. Ronald Exantus was found guilty of assault but not guilty of murder by reason of insanity. The Tipton family and supporters held a march this morning in Logan’s memory and packed the courthouse for sentencing. Exantus could be eligible for parole by Chirstmas of 2019.

The Tipton family is pushing for legislation dubbed ‘Logan’s Law’ which gives victims’ families a greater voice in court and pushes for stricter sentences.
