If you get a hard copy of the Lexington Herald Leader Newspaper, delivery will be delayed Monday morning because a fire damaged part of the printing press area.
The fire started about 9:00 Sunday night. A spokesperson for the paper said the blaze was put out quickly but employees couldn't return to work until after 11:30 p.m. because it took several hours to vent the smoke out of the building.
Printing has resumed even though there was some damage to a small part of the press. No one was injured but all Monday deliveries are behind schedule.
