Paul To Clinton: Return Foreign Government Money

AP

Likely Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul is calling on Hillary Clinton to return donations several foreign governments made to her family's philanthropic foundation.

Campaigning in New Hampshire, the Kentucky senator said Clinton should return money from Saudi Arabia, Brunei and the United Arab Emirates because of their rejection of women's rights. Citing examples of women who were punished for reporting rapes, he says it's unconscionable that Clinton accepts such money.

The Clinton foundation has been criticized for accepting donations from foreign governments while the former first lady served as secretary of state and after she departed in early 2013.

Hillary Clinton is building a campaign team and remains the leading Democratic presidential contender if she enters the 2016 campaign. Paul is expected to announce his campaign in April.
