The Fayette County School board continues to move toward naming an interim superintendent.
Tom Shelton is stepping down to become executive director of the Kentucky Association of School Superintendents. In an email to families Thursday, school board chair John Price said they will interview three candidates over the next two days.
Their names have not been released to the media.
Price said the board will meet with one applicant on Thursday and two on Friday, and then will determine whether to hold additional interviews or move forward with a selection.
Shelton’s last day on the job is December 12th.
