A film opening nationwide this weekend has a writing credit that some Kentucky residents might recognize.
Andrea Gyertson Nasfell's first theatrical feature film, "Moms' Night Out," opens Friday, but it's already been shown at Asbury University, where Nasfell graduated. At that time, it was known as Asbury College, and her father, David Gyertson, served as president from 1993 to 2000.
Nasfell said that the project's focus was to make a comedy that Christians and non-Christians both could enjoy and to produce a message that pastors and other religious leaders would embrace. The film is about three mothers who go out for a night on the town and addresses issues such as mother's feelings of inadequacy and burnout.
