The First Quarter Numbers Are In

Candidates vying for the Mayor’s seat in Lexington have released their finance numbers.

Mayor Jim Gray has raised the most money overall with $377,910.63 total in his campaign coffers.  However, challenger Anthany Beatty raised more in the first three months of the year.  The retired Lexington Police Chief and current administrator at UK pulled in just over $121,000 to Gray’s $88,073.

A third opponent, Danny Mayer, says he has raised less than three thousand dollars.  Mayer is an English professor at Bluegrass Community and Technical College.

The top two vote-getters in the upcoming May primary will go head to head in the November general election.
