LEXINGTON, Ky. – A world-renowned jewelry company famous for its blue box packaging now has a manufacturing facility in Kentucky.
Tiffany & Co. cut the ribbon Tuesday at its new building in Lexington. The opening will create 125 new jobs with room to expand.
"We're primarily focusing on diamond jewelry. So a good part of production is directed toward diamond engagement rings, specifically the classic Tiffany six-prong setting and products related to that," says Tiffany CEO Michael J. Kowalski.
The company has been approved for up to $2.45 million in state tax incentives.
