Frankfort, KY – U-S Senator Jim Bunning's announcement that he won't seek re-election throws the campaign for his seat wide open. Mark Wilson, who's organizing the political speaking for Saturday's Fancy Farm picnic, had been waiting to hear from Sen. Bunning, and says Bunning's departure from the race should prove to be very interesting. "Even though this was an off-year, as far as an election year, all the buzz has been about the U-S Senate race, and what Sen. Bunning was going to do. So, I think it's going to make a very interesting political forum down at the Fancy Farm picnic this time."

Wilson says seven candidates or potential candidates for Sen. Bunning's seat - three Republicans and four Democrats - had already committed to appear at Fancy Farm before Sen. Bunning withdrew from the race.
