Outside the Margins: COVID-19, Health Inequalities and the Black Community

Despite the precautionary measures society has taken — the current global pandemic has had a disproportionate toll on Black communities.  This week on Dr. Greg Davis on Medicine we talk with Dr. Anita Fernander, Associate Professor in the UK College of Medicine, founder and chair of the Lexington-Fayette County Health Disparities Coalition, and program director for Black Boys and Men in Medicine.  She talks specifically about health disparities in the Black community during the COVID-19 pandemic and says the answer has more to do with 400 years of history than biology.
