Free Tours of Historic 1795 Cartmell House

Free Tours of Historic 1795 Cartmell House
Open house tours available for the original farm house, built circa 1795, in the Firebrook neighborhood. The four room house is showcased to give examples of the changes the house has 'seen' over its 228 year history. A new exhibit, "Revolutionary Threads", organized by the Transylvania Chapter of the NSDAR showcasing the history of Revolutionary War Patriots and their uniforms, will be on display as well. Suitable for children. Limited parking available on site, but street parking is allowed. Those with mobility issues please be aware there are multiple steps that must be navigated for the tour. Tours are free and available from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, July 4th.
