In celebration of the approaching Holidays, WUKY (Central Kentucky’s Flagship NPR Station), has put together an eclectic assortment of programs to have you inspired as you gather with friends and family this Holiday Season. Perfect for listening while wrapping presents, preparing dinner, or spending time reflecting on the past year or focusing on the year ahead, WUKY has something for EVERYONE.
December 24th, 7-9pm Alltech’s Celebration of Song (Alongside the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre and winners of the Alltech Vocal Scholarship Competition, the program will feature the Uniting Voices Lexington youth choir. Led by artistic director and acclaimed baritone Dr. Michael Preacely, graduate winner of the 2010 Alltech Vocal Scholarship Competition, Uniting Voices Lexington empowers and unites youth from diverse backgrounds through the power of music.)
December 25th, 9am-2pm Rock & Roots Christmas (Featuring artists like Barenaked Ladies, Ray Charles, Holly Cole and Joe Bonamassa, just to name a few.)
