Lexington celebrates all things Latino this weekend

Lexington Parks & Recreation

For the next two nights downtown Lexington’s Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza will take on a more international flavor with the annual Festival Latino De Lexington. The event is presented by the Foundation for Latin American and Latino Culture and Arts – also known as FLACA, and Lexington Parks & Recreation. On Friday morning WUKY's Alan Lytle talked with event coordinator Jessica Piersol about what to expect this year.

Celebrate Latin American art and culture in the heart of downtown Lexington at the Festival Latino de Lexington! With live music, dance, visual arts and authentic cuisine, there is plenty to explore and enjoy over this two-day event. Friday night is tropical night and will include authentic Latino foods, live music and dancing. The festival is presented by Lexington Parks & Recreation and the Foundation for Latin American and Latino Culture and Arts.
