Four shootings remain under investigation in Lexington

Two people were killed and two others injured in four separate shootings in Lexington in a 7-hour span over the weekend.

The first victim, a man, went to a local hospital around 9:45 p.m. Friday with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Police have not yet determined where the shooting occurred.

Around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to Redding Road, where they found 32-year-old Rashi Washington suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

About an hour later, police responded to Ohio Street and found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The fourth shooting happened around 4:15 Saturday morning on Cross Keys Road. That victim was found deceased at the scene.

All four cases remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lexington police at (859) 258-3600.
