University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto welcomed students back to campus Tuesday as the fall semester officially began, reflecting on move-in, K Week and the excitement surrounding a new academic year.

During our 'One on One with WUKY' interview, Capilouto discussed the university’s continued focus on campus safety, ongoing infrastructure projects and the challenges and successes facing UK. He also highlighted the role of athletics in bringing the university community together. The return to campus follows a busy K Week, which included events designed to welcome new and returning Wildcats and connect students with campus resources.
