Jametrius Griffin faces murder, assault, and tampering with physical evidence charges in connection with the shooting that killed 16-year-old Di’Zhon Robertson and wounded four others.
Griffin’s public defender waived a formal arraignment and entered the not guilty plea. A judge set his bond at $1 million, and Griffin remains in custody at the Fayette County Detention Center.
Funeral services for Robertson are scheduled for Monday, Aug. 24, at Consolidated Baptist Church in Lexington. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the funeral service at noon.
Services are being handled by Keith P. Clark & Son Funeral Home and paid for by Fr. Jim Sichko, a Catholic priest in the Diocese of Lexington and the Papal Mission of Mercy.
