Tayler Farms, already under scrutiny due to the outbreak of cyclosporiasis, has recalled products in Kentucky and 26 other states. The move was prompted by Coast Citrus Distributors decision to recall jalapenos.
According to the FDA, products being pulled from the shelves include Taylor Farms branded taco dip, guacamole, and salsa — along with Walmart brand pico de gallo.
Sandra Eskin is with the national group Stop Foodborne Illness. She told CBS News it's important to keep tabs on the batches that could be affected
"There's a list of all of the lot numbers and the descriptions of the products," she said. "If there's someone you feed who's older or younger or pregnant or immunocompromised, you may make different choices in the produce aisle."
In the meantime, Taylor Farms says it has switched to an alternative supplier.
