The film, titled RISING, tells the stories of families and first responders during the deluge that killed 45 people and wiped out thousands of homes.
The documentary focuses on community resilience in the face of disaster along with the high-ground communities being built in response, an project Gov. Andy Beshear has described as "the most ambitious rebuilding effort in the nation."
Eight such communities have either been built or are under construction.
RISING had its official debut at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsberg, with screenings following in Lexington, Frankfort, and elsewhere. Those showings raised more than $48,000 for relief efforts.
The film is now screening via Prime Video.
