Bradford, who continues to serve as assistant superintendent, will receive an extra $312.49 per workday on top of his annual $200,000 salary. According to the contract, the additional compensation is based on the district's existing salary and administrative pay schedules and is effective retroactive to July 1.
Bradford was appointed acting superintendent on June 10 after the board placed Superintendent Dr. Demetrus Liggins on paid administrative leave. Liggins continues to receive his salary while an independent review of his employment, conducted by the law firm VanAntwerp, remains underway.
Bradford's contract states he will continue serving as acting superintendent until the board resolves Liggins' employment status following the review.
The board also voted Monday to suspend the superintendent's annual evaluation, which had been scheduled for completion by the end of July.
