Governor Beshear declares state of emergency due to flash flooding

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has declared a state of emergency due to widespread flooding across the state.

In a Facebook post the governor said heavy rainfall is expected to continue through 11 p.m. EDT tonight, "so we need folks to remain alert and avoid driving after dark due to high water."
