The former Lexmark data center on New Circle Road has been purchased by a Dallas, Texas-based data company.

A former Lexmark and IBM data center campus in Lexington has been sold to Dallas-based data center operator DartPoints for $29 million, according to property records and company officials.

The 343,000-square-foot campus, located on New Circle Road, spans two buildings and includes more than 81,000 square feet of existing data center space. The sale was finalized on May 15.

DartPoints plans to expand the facility to meet growing demand for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and hyperscale data services. The site currently supports between 20 and 30 megawatts of power and is expected to be upgraded to up to 70 megawatts in the future.

The property’s existing electrical infrastructure and data-center zoning are expected to help accelerate redevelopment efforts.
