KDP calls out Republicans for 'cheap jabs' in bingo game

KDP

Kentucky Democrats are slamming House Republicans for allegedly playing a game of "bingo" during official proceedings on Wednesday.

Photos of the alleged bingo card, some showing boxes marked off as if it had been played, were posted on social media.

Phrases in the bingo squares include "poor," "anti-ICE", "pre-K for all," and "affordable healthcare."

Representative Sarah Stalker, a Democrat from Jefferson County, referenced the card as lawmakers began to make final decisions on Kentucky's nearly $32 billion two-year budget.

"Mark your bingo cards because we're going to talk about foster care," Stalker said.

The Kentucky Democratic Party released a statement saying in part that the bingo game took "cheap jabs at struggling Kentuckians" and the state's Republican party "should be deeply ashamed."

WUKY has reached out to the Republican Party of Kentucky, but we have not yet received a response.
