Shawn 'Mickey' Stines is led into the courtroom for a hearing after being arrested and charged with murdering Judge Kevin Mullins.

Shawn “Mickey” Stines, who is accused of the fatal shooting of Letcher County District Judge Kevin Mullins in September of 2024, is listed as a witness in the case.

The lawsuit was filed by a woman accusing a former sheriff’s deputy of sexual coercion to avoid home incarceration fees.

According to our partners at the Lexington Herald-Leader, court documents say Stines is expected to testify regarding his knowledge of alleged sexual activity involving female inmates, as well as conversations he had about it with Judge Mullins and others.

The civil trial is set to begin on March 3 in federal court in London.
