Disaster loans now on offer for businesses affected by UPS crash

Associated Press

Businesses affected by the November 4 UPS plane crash in Louisville are set to receive disaster loans.

Gov. Andy Beshear made the announcement this week — noting that eligible businesses in Jefferson, Bullitt, Hardin, Oldham, Shelby, and Spencer counties can now submit applications for what are called Economic Injury Loans.

The loans were requested following a survey of the crash site. In all, 57 businesses were found to have sustained damage ranging from significant contamination to total destruction.

Applications for the disaster loans can be submitted online using the MySBA Loan Portal at lending.sba.gov.

The window is a long one, with businesses allowed to submit applications through August 17, 2026.
