Jordan Obi scored 17 points and added eight rebounds for the Cats, while Tonie Morgan had 11 points and six assists.
Kentucky got off to a fast start, making its first three shots, including a three from Strack, to lead 7-0. After two Purdue free throws, Obi scored to give UK a 9-2 advantage. After two Purdue free throws, UK got a layup from Strack and an Obi three to lead 14-4.
Purdue would score the next four before a Morgan three made it 17-8 Kentucky. After a Purdue basket, Morgan converted a three-point play to give UK a 20-10 lead. The Cats would lead 23-13 after one period of play.
Kentucky scored the first four points of the second quarter on an Obi layup and an Amelia Hassett jumper. After two Purdue free throws, Strack hit a fadeaway jumper to give the Cats a 29-15 lead. The Boilermakers would score but Obi hit another three to make it 32-17 Cats.
After a Purdue three, Obi hit two more free throws and UK led 35-20. Josie Gilvin would extend the UK lead to 37-20. After the Boilermakers scored, Kentucky got two free throws from Teonni Key to lead 39-22. A Hassett three made it 42-24 and the Cats led 44-26 at the half.
Both teams struggled early in the third quarter, with Purdue missing its first eight shots while Kentucky missed its first four. UK did get the offense going, scoring the first seven points of the quarter to lead 51-26.
Purdue scored the next five points before Morgan hit a pair of free throws to give UK a 53-32 advantage. Two Strack free throws, a Strack jumper and an Obi bucket extended the lead to 59-31, which would be the score after three quarters.
Lexi Blue got the fourth quarter scoring started with a corner three. After a Purdue basket, Obi picked up a loose ball and scored, giving the Cats a 64-33 advantage. That was the start of an 11-0 run, including two threes from Hassett, that gave UK a 73-33 lead.
Kentucky returns to action on Saturday, visiting Louisville. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. ET and the game can be seen on the CW.
