It's close to midnight: Lexington's beloved Thriller parade will dance through downtown on Sunday

Lexington's favorite Halloween treat, the downtown Thriller Parade, is set to take over Main Street this weekend. The holiday festivity will take place under appropriately cloudy skies with a slight chance of rain, according to current forecasts.

It's a night that hundreds of dancers, both professional and amateur, look forward to every year. Throughout October, zombie dancers work to master the addictive steps of Michael Jackson's iconic video.

And if their luck holds out, it'll be an overcast, rain free night for the public performance — which has been named a Top 10 Halloween Destination by USA Today.

Lexington’s largest free Halloween party begins with holiday-inspired art and performances starting at 4 PM and culminates with the Halloween Parade and Thriller reenactment.

The Thriller parade runs from 7-9 PM on Sunday.
