Cat videos are the lifeblood of the internet. But what if, instead of flipping through them on your phone, it was more of a shared experience with fellow feline fanciers?
That's the idea behind Cat Video Fest — a compilation reel pieced together from the best the web had to offer over the last year and played exclusively in theatres.
"It's a little bit different," Kentucky Theatre Director Hayward Wilkirson laughs. "It's funny to see them on the giant screen and then part of it is just that communal experience that you can't get anywhere else."
A portion of every ticket sale goes to Halfway Home Rescue, which will also be set up in the lobby where you might meet your next furry family member.
"They will have kittens here in our lobby," Wilkirson says. "Every year they bring kittens who are available for adoption."
